GA Conference 2017 #13 - Margaret Roberts

Margaret Roberts was the final formal session of the day.

Margaret’s session was chaired by David Lambert.
Margaret is someone who has influenced my work and teaching for many years, and she was also on the interview panel when I was appointed by the Geographical Association as their Secondary Curriculum leader back in the day.
She had been through the specifications, and identified how they met a series of criteria, which she identified as being important for GCSE Geographers to be exposed to. These included elements of knowledge, values, concepts and of course enquiry.
This was an interesting exploration of the specifications from a different perspective, and a good way to end the day.
