Mike Parker - GA Public Lecture

If you are coming along to the GA Conference later in the week, you might want to make an early start of it.

Thursday sees the Association at Work Day, when representatives of various GA groups come together to discuss future priorities for the association.
That's followed by the annual Public lecture, and awards ceremony.

Mike Parker, author of "Map Addict" and the newly published "The Wild Rover" will be giving this year's lecture. I got in touch with Mike last year after reading the book, and he kindly wrote a piece for the GA Magazine on his favourite maps.

Don't forget to use / check the hashtag #gaconf11 to find related media: tweets, images, blog posts, videos etc.

I shall then be going Wine tasting... apparently it tastes like wine :) - but I shall need more than one glass just to check...
